3 Tips for Finding a Good Niche Market
Posted on October 26th, 2007 by admin
The most common problem that people have when starting out online is finding a niche market where they can be successful. It doesn’t have to be a hard task for you, but it is an important task none the less. Here are 3 important tips for finding a great niche market.
- Consider what you are knowledgeable about, or what you specialize in first. Look at what you currently do for a living, and see if there is someway that you could profit from your knowledge and skills that you use on the job everyday. Consider your hobbies, or other interests. This is a very simple way to get the ball rolling on finding a good niche market.
- Look at magazine newstands to see what topics are hot topics. Magazines pay lots of money for market research, and they cover what people want to hear, so look at all of the magazines, and you will get some great ideas for niche markets that you could potentially tap into. I like to go to the newsstand with a small notepad and a pen, and I write down the cover topics on several very large magazines.
- Use Ebay to uncover potential hot niches. Visit this link http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/hotitems.pdf and download a hot categories report. This can give you some great examples of categories you may want to look into further.

I think this is one of the hardest things for people to get. One must really start focusing on their passions.
If you do not enjoy what you are doing for a business it will be something that will lack your complete focus.
think about how you react to someone that starts talking about a topic you have absolutely no interest in. Do you want to give them your full focused attention or do you look for ways to get out of the conversation?
It takes some work to do the research for your niche. I think that is one of the biggest things that stop people from discovering there Niche. They just dont want to do the work or they don’t understand how to go about doing the research to make sure it is a profitable Niche to get started in.
