Another Pricless Marketing Lesson From My 1 Year Old
The other day my little 1 year old did something that you can learn from to improve your conversions dramatically. She has been giving “fives” for quite a while now. One day as I held out my hand so she could give me a five, I decided to put up another hand just to see what she would do. She stared for a while at both hands and all of a sudden she pushed both hands away and looked the other way. Although she was just being silly, she still made a great point and didn’t even know it.
See a lot of times we will give people too many choices when it comes to making the decision that we want them to. If you give your website visitors too many choices, most of the time they will just leave your website. You have to show your potential customers what you want them to do. If you want them to opt-in to your newsletter than make that the focus, and if you want them to purchase than just give them that option. Don’t give them too many options on the same page. It must be clear to them what you want them to do.
You will find if you focus your attention to one action per page, your conversion rates will go way up.
